The Kitchen Garden at Burleigh Court

The Burleigh Courts Cotswolds Hotel & Restaurant’s kitchen garden, is also referred to as our “chef’s garden”. It has been designed and lovingly created to supply fresh and high-quality produce directly to our restaurant’s kitchen to create dishes with the freshest ingredients. 

Located at the lower end of the estate and on a neighbouring property, we grow produce with the seasons. Our Chef always prioritises locally sourced, delicious seasonal ingredients on our menus following the much-favoured “garden to table” or “garden to plate” concept. 

This culinary concept emphasises the idea of using freshly harvested ingredients from a home garden to create dishes. Our Team grow our own produce and harvest daily to ensure freshness and flavour in our cuisine. Our Head Chef has direct control over the ingredients he is using and can offer diners a uniquely seasonal dining experience full of quality and natural flavour. We do not use chemicals or pesticides so all produce is organic. 

The Burleigh’s kitchen garden also promotes sustainability, which we firmly believe in and contribute to as a business where we can. By using kitchen garden produce we reduce food waste (you only harvest what you need) and promote the use of local resources.

Our Burleigh Bees

We have three beehives on site where you can observe these wonderful, industrious insects busy with their daily tasks – making honey. Our bees enjoy fantastic access to our garden and miles of countryside, where they gather a wide variety of pollen and nectar. This diversity gives their honey a truly delicious taste. We bottle our honey, which you can purchase from the reception.
