Quality

At Burleigh we have an inherited sense of quality and generosity that weaves through all areas of the establishment like a golden thread. From architecture to hospitality – you won’t find us using half measures.

Hospitality

At Burleigh we don’t see our guests as economic statistics – first and foremost, we see them as friends. Our concept is to make your stay as pleasant as possible and at the same time impress with all the charm that Burleigh has to offer. We are putting hosting back into hospitality so do be our guest.

Authenticity

We have room for people – not hierarchy. This defines the style in which we host and sets the tone here at Burleigh. It does not matter who you are or where you come from, feel free to hang up the stresses of daily life and just be your self.

Tradition

Burleigh is a mixture of genuine tradition, relaxed elegance, and some quirky elements here and there. If a thing looks old, it probably is. If it is new, it has its roots in craft traditions and is well made.

Community

In a world with ever-increasing disconnectedness and isolation, we want to foster community and create opportunities for people to relate. Burleigh is a place for romantic getaways and a place to retreat from busy lifestyles. However, it is also a place to connect, share experiences, expand your network, and build friendships. We will host communal BBQs, wine tastings, and bonfire nights. For those of you who like good conversations in great settings, simply join in.

The Grounds & Walks

4-acres of idyllic grounds surround Burleigh Court Hotel.

The front patio and gardens offer breath-taking views over the Golden Valley of Stroud.

Explore our kitchen garden, walled garden, and Art Deco plunge pool.

During the spring and summer months our outside terraces are bathed in sunshine. The lawns are perfect for summertime games and terraced gardens offer sun loungers and hammocks for the perfect snooze.

The soon-to-open Wellness Garden will offer features like our Art Deco plunge pool which is naturally unheated and located in the back garden of the coach house. It was created in 1920 by Sir Clough Williams Ellis who was later recognised by the Queen for his services to the preservation of the environment and to architecture.

In the autumn and winter months, enjoy a mixture of the evergreens and autumnal leaves. On a crisp winter’s day we recommend to start by exploring our grounds, and then continue up onto our neighbouring National Trust land, on Minchinhampton Common where cattle and wild horses roam.

We have our very own kitchen garden, where our gardeners grow produce onsite. Come and enjoy the freshest ingredients in the restaurant with exceptional service.

Well behaved dogs are welcome.
